This Saturday we have two open spots in our special Sketch Comedy Writing Workshop! This course was originally put together by local singer Richelle Claiborne and her friends, but there’s space for two new friends, so join us! And you get the mad discount price of only $40 for a class that is usually $65. This is a workshop for current or potential comics, screenwriters, playwrights, fiction writers, videographers, filmmakers, directors, improvisers, actors—anyone interested in how comedy works in stand-alone sketches or in longer works. We’ll look at how funny ideas are turned into different kinds of comic scenes. Then students will use these techniques to create characters and brainstorm situations that bring out their humor. Finally the course will touch on parodies and relationship-games. ALL STUDENTS MUST BE VACCINATED!
