Kim Scott. Kim has a PhD in astronomy, which taught her that the universe is vast, cold, and entirely indifferent to our existence. To cope, she spent the last ten years working in Earth Observation space tech, driven by a perverse attraction to massive global problems and the juicy interpersonal conflict of startups. She brings these deep insights into why humans act so weirdly directly to the comedy stage. She has previously performed with The Vortex, Hot Tee, and The Life of Marie Gaglione.

Katie Noorbakhsh. Katie thinks requesting a dismissal from federal grand jury duty is some of the best fun a US citizen can have. It involves standing on a stage while a panel of attorneys asks you questions and laughs at all your jokes. Getting out of grand jury duty is not a recognized hobby so she does improv instead. Katie also likes books, her family, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. She does not enjoy saying things like, “Pick up your socks,” and “No swinging sticks in the house,” but she is really good at it.

Karen Riddle. Newcomer Karen discovered her penchant for performing while working in 18th century costume at Colonial Williamsburg. She later funneled this interest into a career in sales. Her husband and teenage daughters are surprisingly supportive of her new found fondness for improv.

Lisa Ryan. Lisa is a collage artist, mother, armchair dermatologist, and shadow-loving Radiohead junkie who won’t share her Lampo pudding with you. She has performed most recently with Yearbook Prophets and The Vortex.

Ally Zedan. First-time performer Ally is a Minnesota-born, 19-year Charlottesville transplant who took her first improv class to push past her comfort zone and hasn’t looked back. Offstage she’s a live music rock, metal and rap junkie with a soft spot for women rappers. She knows a good thrift find when she sees one!

Asma Habib. Newcomer Asma is a pediatric and adult congenital cardiologist, fashionista, and Bravo enthusiast. She is a native of Virginia, though her journey has taken her to different regions of the country for medical training (North Carolina, Indianapolis, and Seattle). She now calls Charlottesville home with her wonderful husband Jamie and their 2 delightful and spoiled kitties Blueberry and Raspberry. She is an avid fan of all things comedy, grew up watching “I Love Lucy” and other classics, was in an improv group (Vitreous Humor) in med school, and after years of intensive study and expensive schooling, has found that laughter is truly the best medicine.

Joel Jones. Director. Joel is co-founder of Big Blue Door.
