Improv 4: Team Performance is about working with others to build exiting, meaningful, and hilarious shows, and this summer Big Blue Door will be exploring the original and most popular longform improv form, The Harold with not one, but TWO Harold Teams, one rehearsing on Tuesdays, and one rehearsing on Thursdays!
The Harold uses an opening to develop ideas for multiple storylines, second beats, and group games, all converging on final discoveries and connections. We’ll experiment with different openings and scene techniques to create sets that build from grounded initiations up through twists and turns into explosive endings!
We’re still putting together the show dates, and summer being summer, we’ll all be making scheduling changes! Sign up for whichever night works best and I’ll ask in confirmation email about your availability, vacation plans, and whether you can do the other night if that works best for getting two balanced teams!
I’ll also check with first-timers about purchasing shirts which are not required for summer performances but fun to have.
