Hot Tee is the improv group that’s perfect for your spring entertainment needs! Featuring seven veterans of Big Blue Door’s fall and winter teams plus two new improv graduates, Hot Tee has just the right fit, just the right temperature, and just the right style.
Performing with Billionaire Robot Dogs on 4/24 and with The Life of Marie Gaglione on 5/8 and 5/15–all on Fridays in Studio 20 of the McGuffey Art Center!

Kim Scott. Kim has a very common name, which helps her remain elusive on social media – hiding in the shadow of more famous (and infamous) Kim Scotts. She claims her love of studying the human condition is fueled by curiosity, but honestly, she’s just trying to distract herself from the fact that someday, she’ll die. She has performed with Yearbook Prophets, The Vortex, and The Life of Marie Gaglione.

Karen Riddle. Newcomer Karen discovered her penchant for performing while working in 18th century costume at Colonial Williamsburg. She later funneled this interest into a career in sales. Her husband and teenage daughters are surprisingly supportive of her new found fondness for improv.

Lisa Ryan. Lisa is a collage artist, mother, armchair dermatologist, and shadow-loving Radiohead junkie who won’t share her Lampo pudding with you. She has performed with Yearbook Prophets and The Vortex.

Rie Harris. Rie loves sculpting and drawing the human figure, writing poems in funny southern voices, talking to strangers, and hanging with her family and her best dog Rosie. She has performed with Yearbook Prophets and The Vortex.

William Edmisten. William is a professional software engineer and now an amateur improv performer. Originally an introvert from the DC area, William recently discovered the joy of being on stage with improv comedy. He has performed with Yearbook Prophets and The Vortex.

Savannah Page. Savannah works as a strategy and innovation associate at UVA’s Darden School of Business. Outside of improv, Savannah spends her time songwriting, exploring live music and local events with friends, and searching for the best sunset views in Charlottesville! She performed most recently with The Vortex.

Jim Hughes. Jim is a mathematician-turned-software engineer. Outside of work, Jim is an avid swing dancer and trail runner – both involving shuffling for long periods of time. He has performed with On Air, The Vortex, and The Life of Marie Gaglione.

Victoria Olson. Victoria is a veteran special ed teacher, single mother and lover of belly laughs. She sees life as a comedy of errors, laughs at inappropriate times and refuses to share her good wine with gum chewers. She has performed with Yearbook Prophets and The Vortex.

Kristen McCleary. Newcomer Kristen likes teaching and writing history, visiting the fringes of the Spanish empire, and learning Gen Zee slang from her daughter. She doesn’t get juked and feels pretty brat most of the time, bruh.

Joel Jones. Director. Joel is co-founder of Big Blue Door.
