JULY STORIES LINEUP!

Join Big Blue Door Saturday, July 16th for an early evening under the awning of Cardinal Point Winery with our July edition of Summer Story Saturdays! Our show will feature true stories inspired by the theme of ‘Passages’!

We have a mix of newcomers, returnees from past shows, veterans from classes, and Big Blue Door staff. We’ll share all sorts of stories inspired by the theme of ‘Passages’: changes in place, circumstance, and attitude, and gratitude toward those whom we met on the way!

Also Cardinal Point offers a variety of delicious beverages and audience members are welcome to bring their own food as well!

We kindly request a $5-$10 donation.

Check out the lineup:

Teja Vadlamudi is a first time storyteller new to the Charlottesville area. He’s a daddy of two cats and an avid enthusiast for meals under $8.

Barbara Fornoff returns from our June show. She’s a native of Alexandria Virginia recently transplanted to Charlottesville. She first took the stage in 6th grade and never met a microphone she didn’t like. Her passions are hand weaving yarn into cloth, and weaving words into stories.

Browning Porter has been an audience favorite in Big Blue Door story shows since our first year. He’s been in two musicals, both times in the chorus, first as a singing pirate, and then as a singing Nazi. He started smoking cigarettes when he was a singing Nazi. It took him twenty years to quit.

Sarah Adams is back from last year’s story shows. A born and raised Virginian she works in clinical analytics at UVA Health. In her spare time, you can find her tending to her herb garden and fostering animals. She is a veteran of Big Blue Door’s pre-covid improv troupes.

Barry Blumenthal is originally from beautiful Norfolk, Virginia. He is a partially retired psychiatrist previously working at Western State Hospital. He lives in North Garden with his spouse Jan, his dog Henry, his cat Phoebe and a whole lot of plants. His 2 grandsons live in Perth Australia, as far away as you can get on the surface of the Earth from Charlottesville. A long visit is planned soon!

Joel Jones produces Spring Stories Saturday with his beautiful wife Jen and co-hosts the show with his beautiful daughter Ellie.
