Improv 2: Cuts & Callbacks builds your Big Blue Door Improv 1 skills, to teach you how to transport your comedy through time and space. You’ll expand your character and scene work using physicality, actions, and verbal confessions! You’ll learn how to use tags, second beats, and cuts to heighten the truth and humor of your scenes! Finally, you’ll learn the ‘Living Room Opening’ for mining richer and more playful ideas from audience suggestions. Plus an extra session to review Improv I courses shortened by Covid-19! Students must have proof of vaccination to take this course. Nine sessions plus a class show.
Big Blue Door’s Improv 2: Cuts & Callbacks runs on Sunday afternoons 1:15-3:15pm starting September 12th! Prerequisite: Improv 1 with Big Blue Door or equivalent. Maximum 10 students.
