Join Big Blue Door for this special 4-hour overview of writing sketch comedy designed especially for Richelle and her friends. This is a class for current or potential comics, screenwriters, playwrights, fiction writers, videographers, filmmakers, directors, improvisers, actors—anyone interested in how comedy works in stand-alone sketches or in longer works. This four-hour workshop will look at how funny ideas are turned into different kinds of comic scenes. Then students will use these techniques to create characters and brainstorm situations that bring out their humor. Finally the course will touch on parodies and relationship-games. This a closed course for Richelle and her friends.
(Others interested in sketch writing should email firstname.lastname@example.org for next available class.)
As per McGuffey rules ALL STUDENTS MUST BE VACCINATED! Saturday, August 21st. 1-5pm. Taught by Big Blue Door Co-Director Joel Jones.
