Who is Marie Gaglione?
Sometimes she doesn’t even know! But this Saturday she’ll be reading entries from her hilarious and honest journals starting with a page picked by an audience member, after which a crack team of improvisers will pull apart the strange, hilarious, and wonderful!
Who is Marie Gaglione?
It’s an amazing lineup of improvisers performing this Saturday!
Who is Marie Gaglione?
It’s the show you want to see! It’s funny, it’s real, it’s The Life of Marie Gaglione!
Here’s Saturday 3/28 cast:

Marie Gaglione. She’s the “Marie” in the name, a BBD improviser and writer just returned for months on the road living in a van! Before that she spent years writing in a journal.

Brian Weisbrod. Brian performed and coached for Big Blue Door for many years. He is tall, emotionally intelligent and recently married (sorry, ladies!). He has some kind of job somewhere and likes to chase groundhogs in his free time. He’s studying German in preparation for the end days.

Rachel Showalter. Rachel has performed and coached improv in Chicago, DC, and luckily for us, here again in her hometown of Charlottesville. She is a co-founder of Goat Rodeo Comedy Co where she performs in Big Head Fight.

Alena McKay-Smith. Alena began performing improv in 2024 with Big Blue Door, and now performs with Billionaire Robot Dog as part of Goat Rodeo Comedy Co!

William Edmisten. William is a professional software engineer and now an amateur improv performer. Originally an introvert from the DC area, William recently discovered the joy of being on stage with improv comedy. He has studied and performed with Big Blue Door since 2024.

Kim Scott. Kim has a very common name, which helps her remain elusive on social media – hiding in the shadow of more famous (and infamous) Kim Scotts. She claims her love of studying the human condition is fueled by curiosity, but honestly, she’s just trying to distract herself from the fact that someday, she’ll die. She has studied and performed with Big Blue Door since 2024.

Jim Hughes. Jim is a mathematician-turned-software engineer. Outside of work, Jim is an avid swing dancer and trail runner – both involving shuffling for long periods of time. He has studied and performed with Big Blue Door since 2024.

Joel Jones. Joel is the co-founder and co-director of Big Blue Door!
The Life of Marie Gaglione is part of our amazing Big Blue Door at Belmont Arts Collaborative show this Saturday! Including the final performance of The Vortex, the final show of Y3K.
