Check out the lineup for Big Blue Door’s first summer Friday Night Arts show, featuring true stories inspired by the theme of ‘Romantic Comedy.’

Kate Scales grew up in Dinwiddie, Va, works as an outpatient counselor in Greene County and lives in Albemarle with her husband and two preteen daughters. She’s shared stories in many Big Blue Door shows!

Clare Terni is an anthropologist who works with Army tank units, heroin users, and burned out federal employees. She also volunteers in rural clinics and prowls estate sales for antique Appalachian handcrafts.

Cosmo Kuzmick spent his formative years hitchhiking around the planet, stowing away on boats, and working in an acrobat clown troupe, Los Payasos Mendigos. He worked off & on for 20 years as a Hollywood Set Dresser on TV and film. (He once accidentally kicked Steven Spielberg in the shin.) Soon to experience empty nest as my amazing & brave daughter goes to Africa for senior year of high school!

Sean McCord is a playwright, producer, director, and occasionally goes on stage and says things in a funny voice. After a lifetime of wanton excess, he got right with his creator and turned his life around. Please talk to him about being gluten-free.

Erik Swanson. Erik is a Virginia native who has been performing with Big Blue Door as a storyteller and improviser since 2015. Erik is chief engineer and owner of Xdot Bearing Technologies, where he focuses on bearings for machines that spin really, really fast.

Rosemarie Harper. Rosie is a mom of three living in Nelson county and a veteran of Big Blue Door storytelling.
