Adam Meyer writes television scripts, novels and short fiction. He’s told true stories at Story District DC and is excited to be doing it again at Blue Door.

Kate Scales grew up in Dinwiddie, Va, works as an outpatient counselor in Greene County and lives in Albemarle with her husband and two preteen daughters.

Browning Porter has been an audience favorite in Big Blue Door story shows since our first year. He’s been in two musicals, both times in the chorus, first as a singing pirate, and then as a singing Nazi. He started smoking cigarettes when he was a singing Nazi. It took him twenty years to quit.

Debby Prum. In grade school, Debby’s diminutive size and smart aleck attitude often attracted the ruffians of Smalley Elementary, large children who routinely chased her home from school. As she ran, she’d hurl clever insults their way, which only enraged them. Despite the inefficacy of her technique, she’s continued to use humor to survive, but now pays more attention to content, audience and timing. To see her essays, short stories, and paintings, check out her website.

Sarah Adams is a born and raised Virginian who works for UVA in her dream job: neuroscience research. When she’s not geeking out over brain scans, you can find her with her improv troupe, at dinner with friends, or relaxing by the river — preferably with a furry friend!

Kristin Wenger is a Health Educator by day and a west coast swing dancer at night. She makes a good martini.

Host Joel Jones is Big Blue Door’s co-founder.
