Expand your repertoire of great characters with Big Blue Door’s Character Workshop! This four-session workshop will use physicality, voices, costume elements, props, texts, and improvised monologs to develop richer, deeper, stronger characters.
Each session is a stand-alone workshop in a particular aspect of character creation and performance, but also builds from other sessions. Sessions will use character monologs, physical environment, vocal placement, internal games, and more!
Sessions run 630-830pm for regular performance games and exercises. Plus an optional performance and practice session 830-845 during which students can bring material from outside of class to test and practice, including written scenes. Maximum 12 students. (To be eligible students must have completed Improv 2: Cuts & Callback with Big Blue Door, performed on Big Blue Door teams, or have similar experience in other programs.)
The Character Workshop focuses on different techniques for developing and expanding characters for improv or sketch comedy.

BIG BLUE DOOR’S REFUND POLICY
- We offer 100% refunds for courses that we cancel.
- We offer a 100% refund, minus a 10 dollar fee for courses that you withdraw from, if you email us at email@example.com at least 72 hours BEFORE the class begins. The 10 dollar fee is because Pay Pal deducts money from each transaction, so that’s what it costs us to refund you.
- We do not offer any refund for withdrawals later than 72 hours before a class begins.
