September at Big Blue Door means the kick off of our sixth fabulous year. We’ve got a new performance run plus our fall classes! Telling True Stories is already underway, but we’ve still got improv coming up!
We still have one spot left in Improv 2: Cuts & Callbacks. It’s our follow up to Improv I, and introduces second beats, new character work, and the ‘living room’ opening. It runs Sunday afternoons starting 9/10. (For graduates of Big Blue Door Improv I only!)
Have you already completed Big Blue Door’s three-level course? Sign up for our two performance ensembles
and share your strange characters and unique perspective with the world!
Speaking of performing, Big Blue Door has two shows this month. First, at Belmont Arts Collaborative
, director Nauder Namaky leads a pick-up assembly of Charlottesville’s best and funniest improvisers to share the dirt and give you a chance to do the same! Bring your personal complaints, confessions, and revelations! What have you been putting up with lately? Everyone wants to know! Lineup and preview soon!
The third Thursday of every month is Big Blue Door Improv Night
at Cville Coffee
featuring an ever-changing roster of performers and styles. September Improv Night presents the premiere of Big Blue Door’s fall improv teams!
Plus the latest developments in TrueVille, late fall class registration (including our next Telling True Stories), other true stories news, and more!
