Thanks everyone for a great First Friday Improv show last Friday night in Studio 20 of the McGuffey Art Center! Our winter harold teams Half-Price Candy and Mr Mammals put on a wonderful performance to a packed house for the debut of their winter run! Mr Mammals started off with a harold using a ‘documentary’ opening to generate ideas from the audience suggestion of ‘Popcorn.’ Sally Trude, Marjory Ruderman, Susan Gorman, Leigh Maxwell, Rosemarie Harper, David Luzader, and Keaton Ray then created scenes of selling awards, eating contests, and cruelty to liquids.
Half-Price Candy followed with a harold using a true stories opening called a ‘living room’ inspired by an audience suggestion, ‘Tug Boat.’ Maya Hislop, Kelsey Keverline, Todd Kasen, Kirby Martin, Kirk Martini, Debby Prum, and Erik Swanson created storylines of tiny lovers, gung-ho cargo ship officers, and animals applying for human jobs.
Finally Mr Mammals returned with a montage of faster scenes based on multiple audience suggestions, ‘Spatula,’ ‘Apricot,’ ‘Diamond,’ and ‘Bra.’
Mr Mammals and Half-Price Candy perform next on Thursday, Feb 16th for Big Blue Door Improv Night at Cville Coffee.
