Chicago’s wonderful¬†StoryCorps not only uses a great interview format that was an inspiration to us, they’ve turned many of their interviews into short entertaining videos. Click on the links for some examples of their work:

Several years ago Big Blue Door did some interviews with refugees living in the Charlotesville area for a show we to raise money and awareness for the International Rescue Committee.
tts summer Big Blue Door has also worked with storytellers to develop and share longer stories, like the stories on This American Life and The Moth. We teach classes and produce shows. These stories aren’t much like what we’ll be doing for TrueVille but they’ll give you a sense of the different ways stories can work, and they also give you a window into how strange and interesting your neighbors are.
