Thanks everyone for a fun, intimate improv experience last night at DMR Adventures on East Market St! The Bitter End and Driver’s Ed each presented a set and joined together for a final montage.
The Bitter End was missing several members so Will May, Erik Swanson, Debby Prum, and David Luzader were joined my your humble narrator to present a harold inspired by the audience suggestion of ‘Daycare.’ We met longtime workmates who had become identical, friends who viewed violent calendars, and a couple that bonded in college over sadistic crime!
Next up Driver’s Ed (Larry Goldstein, Deborah Arenstein, Max Hoecker, KIrk Martini, Finn Mehigan, and Sally Trude) presented a harold inspired by the audience suggestion of music festival. We met an naturalist couple at Lockn, two kids building a fort in a library, and historical interpreters on a pirate ship.
Finally both groups joined together for a montage of scenes based on single-word audience suggestions including ‘pickles,’ ‘puffy,’ and ‘daiquiri!’
Thanks for everyone who came out and to Melissa Charles of DMR Adventures for hosting us! Our next show is Big Blue Door Improv Night at Cville Coffee this Thursday!
But don’t wait that long for your improv fix! We have our next Improv I class starting this Tuesday night! Please come join us!
