Thanks everyone for a great Big Blue Door Improv Night last night featuring the premiere of our summer performance groups, The Bitter End and The Administration! The Bitter End kicked off the show with a Harold inspired by the audience suggestion of ‘Sideline.’ Susan Gorman, JL Lawrence, Shell Stern, David Luzader, Leigh Maxwell, Sally Trude, Keaton Ray, and Erik Swanson shared some true personal stories, and then spun out scenes of a dad and daughter going to a Justin Bieber concert, a ballet dancer getting pantsed, and two friends at a dress rehearsal for an opera, plus we saw a slideshow of a softball game and met an unlicensed Time Square Elmo.
The Administration (Joel Jones, Nauder Namaky, and Brian Weisbrod) followed with a Harold inspired by the audience suggestion of a song lyric, ‘Celebrate Good Times, come on!’ We met a hired foreign holiday planner, a body parts collector, an unhappy father, and may have found the mystery of the ‘Boulder Shoulder’ and the ‘Namibia Tibia.’
Following a short break The Bitter End returned for a montage of scenes from suggestions, ‘Frog Pond,’ ‘Cherries,’ ‘Derecho,’ and ‘Under Caffeinated.’
Don’t miss Big Blue Door’s next longform improv comedy show, when The Bitter End and The Administration hit the road to Crozet, Virginia. It’s called Big Blue Door 2 Door
