Thanks Albemarle Cider Works for having us! Our Big Blue Door fall performance ensembles Dance Monkey and Catawampus performed longform improv for a sometimes surprised crowd in the tasting room for Improv in the Afternoon!
Dance Monkey (John Lawrence, Nauder Namaky, JP Riggle, Finn Mehigan, and Erik Swanson) created a harold from the audience suggestion of ‘apple.’ The riffed on family recipes, romantic rivals, and menagerie keepers
Catawampus (Larry Goldstein, Max Hoecker, Brian Weisbrod, Deborah Arenstein, and Rosemarie Harper) then spun out their harold from the audience suggestion of ‘Beluga.’ We had suicidal clowns, strange animal dreams, and even a cameo by President Obama. Of course they sang the Baby Beluga song!
Both groups combined for a montage of scenes from audience suggestions of ‘Pot Luck,’ ‘Hammer,’ and ‘Letter.’
Thanks to Jennifer and everyone at Albemarle Cider Works for having us, and thanks to everyone who came out!
Our fall performance groups next will be at the Mudhouse in Crozet on Saturday, November 7th. Show at 7pm! Don’t miss it!
