The Amazing Bruno, Snake Girl, and the Memory Palace of Coney Island

Theater Wagon A belated thanks to Theater Wagon across the mountain in Staunton for their Friday, June 26 reading Joel’s full-length play The Amazing Bruno, Snake Girl, and the Memory Palace of Coney Island.

Theater Wagon presented the reading as part of Playwrights Week, a week of workshops and readings featuring area writers.

Y’all may not know this, but before starting a family, launching Big Blue Door and joining the ranks of Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell as an improvateur, Joel spent many years writing, producing, and directing plays.

Program for Memory Palace

The house was full, and the audience engaged, and people stayed for the talkback. It was one of the best talkbacks I’ve attended.

Thanks to Roz Collins for making the whole thing happen, plus Paul Hildebrand, director Diane Stewart, and the dedicated cast!
