The biggest news was the culmination of our successful Harold Run! Congrats to Shawn Hirabayashi, Maya Hislop Max Hoecker, Tu-An Truong, Deborah Prum, and Brian Weisbrod of Hotdog Water, and Larry Goldstein, Nick Hayes, Nauder Namaky, Erik Swanson, and Kirk Martini of Unusual Suspects for bringing great longform improv comedy to Charlottesville and beyond!

In March they performed at BON on March 12th and finished up their run at C’ville Coffee on March 19th as part of our awesome Triple Improv Show that included class showcases for our winter Improv 1 and Improv 2 classes!

Congrats to Deborah Arenstein, Keith Breault, Susan Burke, Nik Hayes, Patrick Kilmer, Martyn Kyle, Jenny Mead, Mendy St. Ours, and Emily Smith of Improv 1, and Helen Anderson, Rosemarie Harper, Ben Knopp, Ben Meguira, Finn Mehigan, Jessica Pascoal, JP Riggle, Catherine Tillman, and Melissa Wender of Improv 2 for all the hard and hilarious work!

spring classes March also saw the start of our Spring Classes including Improv 2, Improv 3, and Telling True Stories! (You still have time to sign up for the Scene, Sketch, Scenario class sponsored through Writer House.)

Plus our Big Blue Door resident improvisers, having just worked for two months on the Harold, are now assaying the Monoscene, another Charlottesville first! (The run kicks off in April at C’ville Coffee!)

Friday editions of WTJU’s Soundboard featured stories by Yousaf Sajid, Anna Jones, Elizabeth Derby, and Joni Michelle recorded at our live true stories shows.
