Thanks All in the Family!

photo(16) Thanks everyone for a great Big Blue Door Jam last night at C’ville Coffee with true stories inspired by the theme of ‘All in the Family!’ Thanks especially to producer Emily Smith and emcee Miller Susen!

Rosemarie Harper led off with her story of her eccentric cousin and aunt who once lived with her and have since disappeared.

Maggie Thornton was second with her tale of breaking her elbow sledding and the resulting drama or lack thereof.

Raennah Lorne shared her account of her relationship with her incarcerated father.

Laura Ingles described her changing mother-daughter dynamic with its secrets and revelations.

Browning Porter finished the night with his account of his Uncle Wayne, his father’s rough-and-tumble friend.

It was a close contest but the end of the night the coveted Big Blue Door Jam Jam was won by Raennah!

Come see the winners and runners-up from all our fall Big Blue Door Jams return for the Big Blue Door Slam on Thursday, January 15th at BON! The Slam features storytellers from the Jams competing for the title of Big Blue Door Slam Grand Slammer!

Between now and then Big Blue Door has a short free show as part of Fridays After Five at McGuffey Art Center on Friday, Jan 2 (6pm) to celebrate our new associate membership! We might have stories, we might have improv, who know what we’ll do? More on that soon. (Speaking of McGuffey why not sign up to take an improv class there?)
