We began the month with three class showcases, two Improv I class showcases and a Telling True Stories class show! Thanks so much to Live Arts for sponsoring two of those classes. We’ll have our next Improv I and our next Telling True Stories starting in January!
Our Big Blue Door Jam returned November 21 to the Woolly Mammoth (formerly called the Black Market Moto Saloon) with true stories inspired by the theme of ‘Working Hard, Hardly Working.’ It was a great show hosted by Jude Silveira with a terrific selection of stories by Browning Porter, Laura Ingles, Anna Jones, Michael Hayes, Yousaf Sajid, Kelly Kroese, and Jenny Mead! Our next Door Jam will be December 19th featuring true stories inspired by the theme of ‘The Kid’s Are All Right.’ Then in January we’ll bring back our September, October, November, and January jam jar winners plus other top vote-getters to tell stories in our Big Blue Door Slam.
Speaking of true stories, Big Blue Door storytellers are featured on Monday editions of Soundboard at WTJU. In November listeners could tune in to stories by Claire Terni, DeeDee Stewart, Browning Porter and Christy Baker. You can listen to older editions of Soundboard or other WTJU programs at wtju.net.
Our website continues to grow both in individual visitors and views per visitor.
Thanks to everyone who has taken a class, come to a show, shared a story, worked the box office, offered us a venue, told a friend about us, or read about what we’re doing! If you haven’t gotten involved yet, Follow us here, like us on Facebook, come to a show, or take a class!
We’ll have a preview of December events tomorrow!
