On Sunday, March 3 we offer our first Comedy Sketch Writing workshop under the aegis of Big Blue Door, taking first steps toward developing our writing program. (I taught a sketch comedy workshop last summer, but that was through Writer House.)
On Tuesday, March 12 Big Blue Door will be diverting all resources to The Bridge and Random Row Books for the touring production of Bread & Puppet. The show is at 7 pm, $5 suggested donation. Sophie Mitchell and I of The Bridge’s Theater Crew are producing the show with the help Jen and many others, especially the help of Ryan at Random Row.
Thursday, March 21 our Big Blue Door Jam will be held at The Bridge as part of the Festival of the Book. The show will be at 8 pm, $5, with the stories inspired by the theme of ‘books.’ We’ll miss our digs at Moto Saloon, but it’s great to be part of a whole week of literary events.
Friday, March 22, Jen, Ellie and I head off to New York for a week to visit family and celebrate Jen’s dad’s birthday. We’ll be back before the end of the month to begin publicizing a whole slew of April classes.
We also are excited to announce in March changes and additions to our operating staff, which will enable us to improve our communications, website, and email! Perhaps even the long-dreamed-of calendar!
