After eight years the Hamner Theater is leaving its digs at the Rockfish Valley Community Center.  Big Blue Door extends a heartfelt thanks to Peter and Boomie for creating such a vital, beautiful and meaningful artistic place. Some of our best theater experiences in Virginia have been in that little black box. What other organization has done more to foster new works, new ideas, and old-fashion integrity? Although the Hamner will become nomadic it will not cease to make theater however.

Jen and I are both proud to be working with the Hamner on a play in October called Stanley Ann that will be produced at The Bridge.
